In addition to cookies, we also use localStorage โ a browser-based storage mechanism that works similarly to cookies but stores data locally on your device without an expiry date, until you clear it manually or we remove it through code.

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, we are required to tell you what cookies we use and obtain your consent for non-essential cookies. We have designed our platform to minimise cookie use so that your experience is not interrupted by repeated consent banners.
Here is a full breakdown of every cookie and storage item used by Golf Passport UK:
These cookies are strictly necessary for golf-passport-uk.com to operate. Without them, core features of the website would not work. They do not store any personally identifiable information.

We are not currently using any third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) on Golf Passport UK. If we introduce analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for your consent before any analytics cookies are set.
We do review anonymised server-side access logs (IP addresses, page views, referrers) for the purpose of understanding site performance. These logs do not use cookies and are not shared with third parties.
Golf Passport UK does not use marketing or advertising cookies of any kind. We do not work with ad networks, we do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing tags, or any other cross-site tracking technology.
We will never use cookies to track your activity across other websites or to serve you targeted advertisements.

gpuk_saved entrySome third-party services we use to deliver Golf Passport UK may set their own cookies. We have no control over these cookies. Here is what we use and why:
We load typography (Playfair Display and Inter fonts) from fonts.googleapis.com. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log your IP address and browser information. Google's font service is designed to cache fonts locally and minimise data collection. See Google's Privacy Policy for full details.
We load the Font Awesome icon library from cdn.jsdelivr.net. jsDelivr may log access requests including your IP address. See jsDelivr's Privacy Policy for details.
Our Contact page embeds a Google Maps frame to show our location. Google Maps may set cookies when you interact with the embedded map. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. The map is loaded with loading="lazy" to minimise unnecessary requests.
When you click through from Golf Passport UK to a third-party booking platform (such as GolfNow or a club's own website), those platforms will set their own cookies. These are entirely outside our control and governed by their own cookie and privacy policies.
You have full control over cookies and storage on your device. Here is what you can do:
By continuing to use Golf Passport UK, you accept the minimal use of essential cookies and localStorage described in this policy. We have designed the site to function with the absolute minimum, so this is not an invasive choice.
To remove the gpuk_saved localStorage data, clear site data for golf-passport-uk.com in your browser settings. This will remove your saved courses list but will not affect your ability to use the site.
You can set your browser to block all cookies. Please note that if you block session cookies, some features of the site may not function correctly. Blocking localStorage will mean your saved courses cannot be preserved between visits.
